Oxy Oman signed support agreements with Cadres

A total of 44 applicants have been received where two SMEs have met the eligibility: Cadres Oil Tools & Services (Manufacturing of flanges) and Manadher Al SahraTrading (tank cleaning and maintenance).

The signing ceremony was held at the Oxy Oman headquarters under the patronage of Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, undersecretary at the Ministry of Oil and Gas. Steve Kelly, president and general manager of Oxy Oman, Said Al Jinaibi, chief executive officer of Manadher Al Sahra Trading & Mattar Al Habsi, chief executive officer of Cadres Oil Tools & Services were signatories for their respective organisations.

To support the Omani Government’s objectives of SMEs development to enhance economic growth of the Sultanate of Oman, Oxy has established its own SMEs Development Programme to provide funding to SMEs to achieve sustainable growth, capacity building and sustainable development.

Phase 3 of the programme has been launched in mid-2015 where Oxy announced three categories through newspaper advertisements: Engineering services, manufacturing of flanges and tank maintenance.

This event visualises the continuous response from Oxy Oman to the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, at the January 2013 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development Symposium and enhances Oxy Oman’s in country value (ICV) contribution.

The signed agreements are part of Oxy Oman’s endeavour to support programs that foster economic development under the umbrella of strategic partnerships and continuous collaboration with key stakeholders.
